Stuart McCully is a Pharmacologist (PhD) with over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical, consulting and CRO world.  Stuart is passionate about helping people understand how to get from concept to close-out for clinical studies that don’t fit the well-defined pathways of clinical trials, hence his interest and expertise in real-world research studies.

Over the years, Stuart has:

  • Created (and sold) a real-world research regulatory consulting company (www.chuck.co.uk)
  • Helped to create a trial master file for non-interventional studies and observational studies (www.studymasterfile.com)
  • Created training materials for the UK’s NHS
  • Been (and still is) a senior correspondent for the Brookwood Global Clinical Research and Clinical Quality Assurance monthly Advisor publication.

In his spare time…Stuart likes to read, cook, build Lego and fish off the West coast of Scotland.

Ken is an experienced life sciences strategy and portfolio professional with expertise gained from over 30 years managing large, complex strategic portfolios, programmes and projects globally across private and public sector R&D organisations. He works closely with CEOs, Boards of Directors, Executive Teams and SVP-level executives from high growth biotech, global big pharma and global public health organisations to deliver R&D and portfolio strategies and operating models that bring together science, technology and medicine to address unmet needs.

Ken has held senior strategy and portfolio positions in the pharmaceutical industry, including as a member of the Executive Management Team of a UK-headquartered speciality pharma, and in senior corporate and R&D strategy roles for top 10 global CROs. He is currently CEO and co-founder of RedBird and Real-World Research Ltd, providing strategy, portfolio and project management consulting services to Real-World Research life sciences organisations.
